Tamil Nadu: The Lede is the first to get authentic information on the situation in Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore. Government sources told us that 153 people from different countries have been staying at Isha since well before January as regular disciples. After January, 145 people from abroad to stay for Maha Shivaratri celebrations which was on February 21. Totally 298 people are staying at the Centre as on date. Sources say the TN Health Department has screened them fully and found no symptoms. Upon promulgation of Section 144, it was ordered to close Isha to the public. Regular checks are being conducted under Deputy Director of Health in Coimbatore district. The stipulated minimum 28 days of quarantine, even from the date of Maha Shivaratri is over. District officials continue to monitor the inmates who are not allowed to go anywhere outside Isha. Revenue department officials and police have been posted for regular watch. Last week, three Germans left lsha to go to their country after proper clearance.
